December 2018, Lampung Joint CPI experienced an increase in index from 135.37 in November 2018 to 135.78 in December 2018, thus inflation was 0.31 percent.
Based on the inflation calculation of the calendar year (point to point) January-December 2018 of 2.73 percent and inflation of year on year (yoy) in December 2018 for 2017 is 2.73 percent.
Of the seven expenditure groups, all groups experienced inflation, namely the foodstuffs group experienced inflation (up by 0.53 percent); processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.63 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group 0.05 percent; clothing group 0.44 percent; health group 0.20 percent; education, recreation and sports group 0.01 percent; and the transport, communication and financial services group 0.19 percent.
Of the two monitoring cities in Lampung in December 2018, all experienced inflation. Bandar Lampung inflation is 0.31 percent, and Metro inflation is 0.27 percent.
Inflation in Bandar Lampung was ranked 65th and Metro City ranked 68th, out of 82 cities which observed price developments. Of 82 cities, 80 CPI cities experienced inflation and 2 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kupang at 2.09 percent, and the lowest inflation occurred in Banda Aceh by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Sorong by 0.15 percent, and the lowest deflation occurred in Kendari at 0.09 percent.
The foodstuffs group contributed the highest inflation, which was 0.12 percent. The subgroup which was the highest contributor to inflation in December 2018 was a subgroup of eggs, milk and their products of 0.12 percent.
